At Upper Creek Farm, Kim Herslow has made it her specialty to identify young horses with raw talent and to mold these prospects into horses that make for a confident and educated riding partner. She effectively manages the horses' training and competition schedule to produce lasting performance horses. We invite breeders with their young prospects to UCF for a suitable training and conditioning program. Whether you are campaigning or selling your horse, we are experienced in doing both.

Kim and Jazzman

Kim Herslow's training philosophy is to cross-train all horses, starting out with Dressage before moving on to any work over fences. "It's important for the horses' confidence and balance to reach second level of Dressage before they are introduced to any serious jumping," says Herslow. This method has been quite successful. For example, Eleventh Hour and Jazzman, who were both carefully selected as yearlings by Kim. Both horses were developed and shown before being sold to clients of Scott Stewart. Eleventh Hour was 1st Year Green Circuit Champion in Wellington, Florida in 1999. Jazzman went on to showing in Regular Working Hunters and Junior Hunters with his new owner.

In addition, Upper Creek Farm's spacious and varied facility allows for maximum opportunity for horse and rider to achieve their goals. With its large mirrored indoor ring and two separate outdoor rings, one to train Jumpers and the other for Dressage. There is a twelve acre outside grass field with portable jumps and a permanent bank jump. We are attached to miles of carefully maintained trails with natural jumps through the Covered Bridge Trail Association. Upper Creek Farm is the ultimate location for cross-training.
